For the love of the Hunting and Sporting Dog

Are you in the process of choosing a Hunting or Sporting Dog?
Are you Looking for information on training or equipment?
Are you sick of searching thousands of websites to find what you are looking for?

With my husbands love for hunting, and my love for dogs, we have put this site together to make it easy for you to find information on training and supplies needed to choose and train your dog.

This site isn't just for the love of the sport, but mostly the love of the breeds. It is dedicated to the thousands of Hunting and Sporting Dogs that go homeless each year due to lack of time and training.

It is a sad but true fact there are so many dogs that are either abandoned or turned over to a shelter just because the owner either didn't choose the right breed, or had no clue how to train the dog.

As hunting dog owners we would like to help you make the right decisions on choosing and training your hunting or sporting dog. Just about all of the information you will need you can find here.

On to the first step...

Choosing the right breed

Any breed you choose is going to be an awesome dog, with some time and training. They are always ready to work and love their jobs.

Choosing the right breed is the most important part. There are so many people (hmm...me) that choose a dog just because they are cute or for some other weird reason, which is fine until its time to put the dog to work. Then you suddenly realize your Hound won't retrieve ducks. Now that would be a funny sight to see.

So Once you have decided what type of hunting you are going to do, then its time to choose.

There are hundreds of breeds to choose from. It would probably take you days to look each one up. Good News! To make it easy for you, I have made a list and put them into categories based on different types of hunting.

Hunting Dog Training

Once you have your dog, now it is time to develop a relationship with him. This is done a number of ways, most importantly in training. The younger you start the better, but keep in mind you can teach an old dog a new trick.

Coming soon, I will be adding alot of interesting things such as guided hunts, dogs for sale, Hunting and Sporting Dog gifts, just to name a few.

Please subscribe to my monthly newsletter For the love of the Hunting and Sporting Dog it tells you each month about the new information I have added.

As a thank you for subscribing you will receive a FREE Puppy Training E-Book. Loaded with lots of great information to get you and your puppy off to a great start.
